WHAT TO SEE AROUND

With prehistoric history over 100 million years old, Hughenden and the Flinders Shire are located on the edge of a vast pre-historic inland sea, and was once home to many terrestrial dinosaurs as well as marine reptiles, making this country well known "Dinosaur Country".

Hughenden is perfectly strategically based to visit many major attractions in the North West. and it has a lot to offer to travellers, with four national parks, mountainous volcanic basalt country, sweeping black soil plains and rich fossils and dinosaur areas.
